Biking
Due to the climate, the hills and the "wild west" outdoor attitude of Nevadans, mountain biking is extremely popular in the northern part of the state.
In the Reno-Tahoe area, located just four hours east of San Francisco Bay Area and two hours east of Sacramento, you can find rides for every season of the year and for every level of ability and interest.
The best part of mountain biking is the exploration and discovery of something new-- a spring meadow full of flowers, a hidden stretch of single-track, a slope of golden aspen in the fall, a small creek leading down a deep ravine.
