Reno Tahoe USA Visitors Center Opens at Reno eNVy

The Reno Tahoe Visitor Center is a
collaboration between the RSCVA, the City of Reno and Reno eNVy, whose owner,
Scott Dunseath, saw an opportunity to get more tourists excited about Reno
Tahoe USA.
“After the City of Reno allowed us to
move Reno eNVy’s location to Sierra Street, I immediately noticed an increase
in foot traffic and the influx of visitors, especially families coming in from
out of town,” said Dunseath. “Many visitors were looking for more information
on the area, and it became apparent that a visitor center could be a great
benefit to the community and to those unfamiliar with Reno Tahoe.”
The 1,800 sq. ft. visitor center
contains promotional information provided by the RSCVA, as well as other Reno
Tahoe businesses and attractions. The RSCVA will promote the new location, but
the center also provides an opportunity to reach out to visitors who are
already in the area.
“As the RSCVA works to create more
traffic flow and bring more visitors to the area, it’s important to have an
accessible location where they can find the information they need to get the
most out of their experience,” said RSCVA President and CEO Christopher Baum.
“This center, near popular downtown businesses and the Truckee River, is a great
way for tourists to start their visit with all of the necessary information.”
The University of Nevada, Reno will
also be represented, as the locally-owned Silver and Blue Outfitters launches a
satellite retail location within the center.
“We are excited to partner with Reno eNVy and the Reno Tahoe
Visitor Center to offer our line of Nevada Wolf Pack and Reno Aces merchandise
at their downtown Reno store,” said Silver and Blue Outfitters co-Owner Mark
Gladowski. “This center will showcase the city of Reno, and the Wolf Pack and
Aces are important characteristics in our city’s identity.”
