NATIONAL CLUB VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS TO BE DECIDED AT RENO-SPARKS CONVENTION CENTER
RENO, Nev. (April 4, 2014) — The 2014 National Club Volleyball Federation Club Volleyball Championships continue through Saturday, April 5, at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. The national tournament brings both men’s and women’s teams from Division I, Division II, and Division III competition levels. A national champion will be awarded in each division.
Competition will continue through 8:30 p.m. on Friday, April 4th, with elimination brackets beginning at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5th, and continue all day, with the championship matches taking place between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Saturday night. More than 4,500 competitors and guests are visiting Reno Tahoe for the three-day tournament, which is contributing more than 6,800 room nights to area hotels, and boosting the local economy with an estimated economic impact of more than $4.8 million.
The NCVF Club Volleyball Championships kicks off a busy month for volleyball in northern Nevada. More than 1,000 additional volleyball teams will be in the area starting April 12th, when the Northern California Volleyball Association Far Western National Qualifier Tournament returns.
