 Q: What public assembly facilities do Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA) staff manage?
A: The (RSCVA) manages a variety of public assembly facilities including: The Reno-Sparks Convention Center, the National Bowling Stadium, the Reno Events Center and the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center.

Q: What does the RSCVA do to keep these facilities clean?
A: Ongoing sanitizing procedures are in place, and have been in place for many years, at RSCVA public assembly facilities. RSCVA staff work daily to maintain a clean, sanitary and healthy environment for guests. All RSCVA facility staff members, food and beverage staff and vendors are trained to use appropriate sanitization techniques, ensuring that RSCVA public facilities are clean and safe.

Q: What type of cleaning product does the RSCVA use to sanitize its facilities?
A: All RSCVA public facilities are regularly sanitized using a variety of cleaning products, including virucides. A virucide is a cleaning agent that deactivates or destroys a virus.

Q: How often are the restrooms cleaned?
A: Restrooms in RSCVA public facilities are cleaned hourly during events.

Q: Does the RSCVA offer hand sanitizing stations to the public attending events in RSCVA facilities?
A: Restrooms contain hand sanitizing stations that the public are welcome to use. These stations contain an alcohol-based hand sanitizer and can be found mounted to restroom walls. Guests in RSCVA public facilities are encouraged to look for the sign identifying a hand sanitization station and are welcome to take advantage of this complimentary product.

Q: How often are ‘touchable surfaces’ cleaned?
A: All ‘touched surfaces’ in RSCVA public facilities are sanitized at the beginning of any major
event and are sanitized nightly for the duration of the event. Touchable surfaces include, but
are not limited to: door knobs, garbage can tops, hand rails and chairs.

Q: What does the RSCVA do to address guests concerns?
A: The RSCVA wants all guests to have a positive experience while in the destination.
The RSCVA works in conjunction with event planners and organizers to address and/or resolve any issues, problems or concerns that arise during an event.

Q: Does the RSCVA have any recommendations for visitors?
A: The RSCVA encourages all visitors to the destination to practice proper personal hygiene to stay healthy. Guests should wash their hands regularly, cover their nose and mouth with a tissue when sneezing or coughing – and properly dispose of the tissue in a garbage can. Guests are also encouraged to cough or sneeze into their sleeve if they do not have a tissue handy. After sneezing it is recommended that hands be properly washed or sanitized with an alcohol-based hand gel.
