1. To Enter: The Reno-Tahoe Spring Promotion begins April 1, 2005 and ends on June 30, 2005. The Reno River Festival prize and the Lake Tahoe Jazz Festival prize will be awarded on April 30, 2005 through an automated random drawing conducted among all entries received by that date. The ProWakeboard Tour prize and the Tour de Nez prize will be awarded on May 31, 2005 through an automated random drawing conducted among all entries received by that date. The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival prize and the Grand Prize will be awarded on June 30, 2005 through an automated random drawing conducted among all entries received by that date. Contestants may enter by completing the information online at http://www.visitrenotahoe.com/enter_to_win/rapids_roulette/ . Entrants can also hand-print their name, address, city, state, zip, day and evening phone number, e-mail address and the words "Reno-Tahoe Spring Promotion" on a 3" x 5" card and mail in a stamped #10 envelope to: Reno-Tahoe Spring Promotion, c/o RSCVA Marketing Department, P.O. Box 857, Reno, NV 89504-0837. All mail-in entries must be received no later than June 30, 2005 to be eligible for a drawing. ONLY ONE (1) MAIL-IN ENTRY ALLOWED PER PERSON. If entering the contest online, entrants can get one (1) additional entry by signing-up for the e-mail newsletter, (1) additional entry by filling out their name, address, interests, age and gender and up to four (4) additional entries for each friend they refer to the contest. THERE IS A MAXIMUM OF SEVEN (7) ENTRIES ALLOWED PER PERSON FOR ONLINE ENTRIES. The RSCVA is not responsible for incomplete, illegible, late, lost, misdirected, electronic miscommunications, or failures of any kind. Contest is void where prohibited by law. The number of entries received determines the odds of winning. Entries become the property of the RSCVA and will not be returned.
2. Eligibility: The giveaways are open to all legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia, twenty-one (21) years or older, as of June 30, 2005. Employees of RSCVA and employees of the companies providing the prizes are not eligible. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. The giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
3. Drawing: Automated random drawings will be conducted from among all eligible entries received for each monthly drawing. There will be monthly drawings on the following dates: April 30, 2005, May 31, 2005 and June 30, 2005. The Grand Prize drawing will occur on June 30, 2005. Only one prize per person will be awarded. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. All entries are the property of the RSCVA. Winners will be notified by mail immediately after the drawings.
4. Prizes: Prize(s) restrictions apply and prizes cannot be substituted or redeemed for cash. Winners are responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes and any expenses relating to the acceptance and use of a prize and those not specified are the responsibility of each winner. The winner of the Grand Prize must fill out a W9 tax form before the prize will be released to them. The RSCVA assumes no responsibility or liability for damages, losses, injury or death resulting from the acceptance and use of this prize. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. All prizes are valid from date of receipt by winner and must be claimed within 30 days of the drawing for their prize. The RSCVA reserves the right to modify the individual giveaways without compromising the integrity of the offer as determined by the RSCVA in its sole discretion.
5. Agreement: All drawing entrants, by their participation, agree to be bound by these Official Rules. The RSCVA reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who violates these rules, and any subsequent entries of the disqualified entrant. The laws of the United States apply to and govern this sweepstakes and any claims must be raised and resolved in the United States. Additionally, entrants and winners agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless the RSCVA, participating properties, their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors and employees from any liability, claims, or damages arising out of their participation in the promotion and the acceptance, use, misuse, or possession of any prize. All winners must be 21-years or older and by accepting the prize, agree to the use of their name or likeness for advertising or publicity purposes without compensation, and upon request, provide consent to such use in writing.
6. Limitation of Liability: The RSCVA is not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any sweepstakes-related materials; for stolen, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible, or postage-due mail or entries; or for transactions that are processed late or incorrectly; or are lost due to computer or electronic malfunction. The RSCVA reserves the right to cancel or modify the giveaway if fraud or technical failures compromise the integrity of the offer as determined by the RSCVA in its sole discretion.
7. Names of Winners: The six (6) winners will be posted as winners on Visitrenotahoe.com after the corresponding prize drawing dates.
