RTC RIDE (formerly Citifare) is the public transportation service for the greater Reno/Sparks community provided by the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County, Nevada. All RTC RIDE and RTC Sierra Spirit busses are wheelchair accessible. RTC INTERCITY (formerly PRIDE), an express weekday commuter service from Reno to Carson City and Douglas County, is also wheelchair accessible. RTC ACCESS is the ADA transportation service for the Reno/Sparks area. Visitors who are ADA paratransit eligible in other transit or paratransit systems will be considered RTC ACCESS eligible for up to 21 days of riding on RTC ACCESS. Individual airlines at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport are ready to assist any passenger with disabilities. They contract with International RAM to assist passengers once they arrive atReno-Tahoe International Airport. Wheelchairs are available on site to take passengers from plane to car and from ticket counter to plane for those traveling without their wheelchair. Of course, there are elevators for wheelchair passengers. The Airport Passenger Aides, clad in yellow & blue, can assist passengers by contacting the International RAM dispatch office for assistance if necessary. Whittlesea is the only company that has wheelchair accessible taxis (775-322-2222) to and from the airport.
