Tour de Nez One weekend each June, Reno welcomes the Mighty   Tour de Nez. Three days of cycling events, pro racing, fun rides and activities are just   some of the fun packed into this celebrated, annual event. In 2006, the Mighty Tour de Nez was the   proud host of the National Criterium Hand Cycling Championship. Skiing Disabled Sports USA Far West leads the way in adaptive sports and recreation for people with disabilities. With over 30 years of experience, their trained staff and volunteers guide you in discovering life without limits. The Far West chapter is the founding chapter of Disabled Sports USA. Golf Genoa Lakes Golf Resort Offers a single-rider accessible golf cart that can be reserved  by people with disabilities. Opening in 1995, The Los Angeles Times called it the, Taj Mahal of Tenpins. A sampling of three parks (a city, state and county   park) are listed below: Oxbow Nature Study Area Just one mile from downtown, this 30-acre urban nature park is home to wildlife including mule deer, beavers, and coyotes. Bowers Mansion Bowers Mansion is located in Washoe Valley, on Franktown Road, 19 miles south of Reno, on  the way to Carson City. The mansion has guided tours during the summer months. Sand Harbor Lake Tahoe-Nevada State Park offers access to a number of different areas for visitors to enjoy.     Sand Harbor is the most popular, with sandy beaches, a boat launch, picnicking and group use facilities.
