Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority

Overview

The marketing department functions as an in-house advertising agency to support sales efforts for theentire organization.  This ability to complete a majority of the RSCVA's marketing projects has proven to be cost effective and time-efficient. In certain circumstances the marketing department contracts with vendors and consultants to tap into complimentary areas of expertise including research, media buying and public relations. The marketing department also ensures that the messaging of the destination brand is incorporated and integrated in all possible marketing efforts.

Marketing Mission

To develop and implement a strategic marketing effort promoting the Reno Tahoe regional destination brand identity locally, regionally, and nationally, with the ultimate goal of driving overnight visitation to Reno Tahoe lodging properties featuring local amenities, attractions and events; thereby enhancing the economic benefit and quality of life for northern Nevada.

Marketing Objectives

  • Promote destination as Reno Tahoe USA
  • Support meetings, conventions, special events, and travel industry sales efforts
  • Develop and implement RSCVA facility marketing programs (i.e. RSCC, RSLEC, REC, NBS,  and Wildcreek Golf Course)
  • Position RSCVA as the leader in enacting change in the community and hospitality industry
