            <description>Meet the Board The RSCVA is governed by a 13-member board of directors representing a variety of business and community groups in Washoe County. The groups represented include: gaming, general business, financial industry, air service and motel industries. The cities of Reno and Sparks and Incline Village are also represented as well as the Washoe County Commission.                &amp;nbsp;       Cindy CaranoCindy Carano graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) College of Hotel Administration in 1984, and joined the Hyatt Regency San Francisco where she held multiple positions, mastering the ins and outs of hotel operations and was promoted into restaurant management.In 1985, Carano joined the Eldorado management team as a reservation supervisor and quickly moved her way up to Hotel Manager and on to Director of Hotel Operations.   In 1997, Cindy moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico to work as General Manager of a group of Bed and Breakfast Inns. Upon return to Reno, she became Director of Development at a private school for two years. In 2003, Cindy returned to the Eldorado as Community Relations Manager, representing the hotel casino on several community committees.  In 2005, she returned to her roots in the Hotel Division as Executive Director of Hotel Operations at the Eldorado.Cindy is the youngest child of Eldorado Hotel Casino Owner and Chief Executive Officer Don Carano. She has one daughter and enjoys golfing, traveling, and gardening.Cindy&amp;rsquo;s community and professional involvement includes Artown, Nevada Commission on Tourism, Nevada Women&amp;rsquo;s Fund, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada and the Nevada Hotel Lodging Association.                        Mike Carrigan       Mike Carrigan represents the City of Sparks.  He was elected to the City Council in June 1999 and re-elected in June 2003, November 2006 and in November 2010. He graduated from the Naval Academy in 1973 and is a retired Naval Aviator with 24 years of service. Mike earned his Master's degree in Journalism from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1997. He is chairman of the board of the Truckee Meadows Water Authority, the Regional Planning Governing Board and the Western Regional Water Commission. He is a member of the Schools Oversight Committee and the State of Nevada and Washoe County Republican Central Committees.  He and his wife Cora have two daughters.                                      Beth Cooney       Ms. Cooney has been the Executive Director of Marketing at the Nugget since 2000, where she oversees advertising, special events, public relations, database marketing, internet marketing and entertainment. Prior to joining the Nugget, Beth was with the       Rose/Glenn Group advertising agency as the VP/Director of Account Services. She also spent more than ten years with Harrah&amp;rsquo;s Entertainment, Inc., including positions as Marketing Director for Harrah&amp;rsquo;s Reno and Regional Director of Marketing for Harrah&amp;rsquo;s       Entertainment in Memphis.       She has been married to Ron Cooney, who works for the Washoe County School District Communications Office, for 23 years. They have three daughters: Laurel, 19, who attends the University of Nevada, Reno; Katy, 28, who lives in London and Erin, 31, who lives in Connecticut.                 &amp;nbsp;       Paul Curtis&amp;nbsp;       Mr. Curtis is a representative for the Reno-Sparks  Chamber of Commerce on the RSCVA Board of Directors representing general  business interests. Curtis has played an instrumental role in the formation of  the Sparks Brand Leadership Team serving as the Chairman of the group formed in  2009 to help rebrand the city.       &amp;nbsp;       Curtis is currently the president and managing member of  Ryten Properties.       &amp;nbsp;       Curtis has more than 20 years of experience in land  acquisition and development serving in previous roles as the CEO of Kiley Ranch  Communities in Sparks and with Lewis Operating Corp. as vice president and  director of land acquisition and development for northern Nevada.       &amp;nbsp;       Curtis graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology  from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He is a current board member and past  president of the Nevada Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. Curtis is a past  trustee of the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) and  chaired the organization's state and local government committee. He is also a  full member of the Urban Land Institute.                             Dwight Dortch       Dwight Dortch is the Reno Council Member for Ward 4 and represents the City of Reno on the RSCVA board. Dwight was elected to the Ward 4 seat in November 2002 and is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, and is in the financial services business. Dortch is the past Chairman of the City Planning Commission and also served the citizens of Reno on the Board of Adjustment and Financial Advisory Board prior to being elected to the City Council.                 &amp;nbsp;       Fred Findlen       Fred Findlen is currently the General Manager for the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort Spa and Casino. Findlen was most recently the General Manager at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort Spa and Marina. Findlen brings more than 25 years of hotel &amp;amp; hospitality experience with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, including domestic properties, international properties and Five Diamond resorts. Findlen began his career as a Hyatt corporate management trainee in 1985 after graduating Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst's Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Administration program.        Findlen and his wife, Jayne, have two daughters, Madeline Rose and Victoria Rae.                        Patrick Flynn         Patrick Flynn is the executive director of hotel operations, sales and   catering at Peppermill Resort Spa Casino. Flynn has more than 24 years   of hotel and gaming experience, ranging from finance to hotel   operations. Flynn has served on   the council for the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada   and the board of directors of the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association.   He earned his B.A. in Business Administration at the University of   Nevada, Reno and a Hospitality Management Diploma   from the American Hotel &amp;amp; Lodging Association.                        Jerry Hall       Jerry Hall is the vice-Chair of the RSCVA Board and has served as the Executive Director of the Regional Transportation Commission for 18 1/2 years, is a registered Civil Engineer (inactive) and has worked as a civil engineering and management consultant.&amp;nbsp; Mr. Hall is a dedicated Rotarian and has served as Rotary International Director (2005-2007) and Vice President in 2006-2007.&amp;nbsp; Mr. Hall's community involvement includes the YMCA, United Way, Reno Philharmonic and the Washoe County District Board of Health.                        Jerry Hawkins       Jerry Hawkins is the Board member Representing the Northern Nevada Motel Industry.&amp;nbsp; Mr. Hawkins is currently the President of Winmer Properties in Reno, Nevada and Operates a Motel in Downtown Reno &amp;quot;Cheryl's Motel&amp;quot;. He previously Owned/Operated the Nevada Inn and The Windsor Hotel.        Mr. Hawkins is also currently a Commercial Real Estate Professional in Northern Nevada and has more than 20 years of experience as a Principle of Commercial Real Estate such as Motels, small residential Hotels, Retail Line Shops, Office Buildings and Apartments. He is also experienced in Commercial Land Acquisition and Development.       Jerry Hawkins is a member of the Northern Nevada Motel and Lodging Association &amp;quot;NNMLA&amp;quot;, The international organization Certified Commercial Investment Member &amp;quot;CCIM&amp;quot;, the Northern Nevada Chapter of the &amp;quot;CCIM&amp;quot;, the Reno Sparks Association of Realtors &amp;quot;RSAR&amp;quot; and the National Association of Realtors &amp;quot;NAR&amp;quot;.        Mr. Hawkins came to the Reno area 25 years Ago from Huntington Beach California where his education was in Architectural Design, Landscape Design and Horticulture.       Mr. Hawkins is also passionate about serving his community and is always looking for opportunities to do so. Some of his favorite charities are The Children's Cabinet in Reno, The American Heart Association, The Food Bank of Northern Nevada, KNPB and Toys for Tots.                        David Humke       David Humke is the Chair of the RSCVA Board and holds the Washoe County Commission District 4 seat, serving as the Washoe County Commissioner for District 2 (south Washoe County) and works as a Project Attorney at the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges in Reno, Nevada. From 1983 to 2002 he served as a State Assemblyman for district 26. Humke is a Governor's appointee to the Nevada Commission on Aging, the Nevada Juvenile Justice Commission and the Nevada Indigent Accident Fund. In Washoe County, Humke serves on the Regional Transportation Commission (currently Vice Chair), District Board of Health, Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority, Flood Control Coordinating Project, Washoe County School District Oversight committee and the Washoe County Criminal Justice Advisory Committee. Humke also is a member of Reno South Rotary and is Vice Chair of For Kids Advisory Committee which is advisory to the For Kids Foundation.                        Kevin Sullivan       Kevin Sullivan is the Secretary/Treasurer of the RSCVA Board, is the Chairman of the Finance and Human Resources Committee and is the Reno Market President at the Mutual of Omaha Bank. With more than 20 years of banking   experience, he previously served as corporate lending manager for   northern Nevada, overseeing all   commercial loan activity. He serves on The Children's Cabinet board and   the board of directors for the Nevada State Development Corporation.   Sullivan earned his B.S. in Business Management at the University of   Nevada, Reno and is a graduate of the Pacific   Coast Banking School at the University of Washington.                        Bonnie Weber       Bonnie Weber currently serves as the Chairman of the Facilities Committee and is one of two Washoe County Commission representatives on the board of directors. She is currently serving her second term as Washoe County Commissioner, representing District 5 where she has lived as a resident for over 24 years. District 5 represents the largest physical district in the county, incorporating portions of Reno and Sparks, as well as Mogul/Verdi on the west, Sun Valley on the east, the North Valleys to the California border, and Gerlach to the Oregon border.  An active member of the Reno-Tahoe community, Weber has served on the Stead Neighborhood Advisory Board, the Reno Commission on the Status of Women, Habitat for Humanity, and many offices within the Republican Party. Mrs. Weber shares a sign and banner business with her husband.&amp;nbsp;                        Sharon Zadra       Sharon Zadra represents the City of Reno.&amp;nbsp;Ms. Zadra was elected to the Reno City Council in November 2002. She is a small business owner with 15 years of experience in economic development/diversification planning and analysis and has more than 25 years of senior management experience in business planning, development and marketing.&amp;nbsp;Ms. Zadra earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nevada, Reno.&amp;nbsp;                 &amp;nbsp;       &amp;nbsp;         &amp;nbsp;</description>

Glenn Carano       Glenn  Carano has served as Director of Marketing at the Silver Legacy since  the Resort Casino&amp;rsquo;s opening in July 1995.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Carano currently serves as  the Chairman of the Marketing and Sales Committee.&amp;nbsp; Before joining the  Silver Legacy, Carano served as Director of Marketing at the Eldorado  Hotel/Casino for eight years.&amp;nbsp; Carano has stayed an active leader within  the Gaming and Tourism Industry.&amp;nbsp; In 1995 he served a four-year term as  Board Member of the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority and  Chairman of the Marketing Committee.&amp;nbsp; He has recently been appointed  again as a Board Member beginning in 2009.&amp;nbsp; Mr. Carano has also been a  Board Member with the Airport Authority in Reno for 8 years and served 6  years as Commissioner with the Nevada Athletic Commission.       Glenn&amp;rsquo;s  main focus and proudest accomplishment are his three daughters, Kasey,  Gina and Christi.&amp;nbsp; He also enjoys bike riding, golf and skiing.
